The library and homebound deliveries have really saved my life...

The library and home bound delivery have really saved my life. It is a lifeline to all the things I need most to get through each day. Wonderful books and plenty of videos make everyday better. I have also become good friends with the volunteer who delivers my items. In addition to the time delivery they take me grocery shopping and help me out by running errands. Thank you, thank you for such a wonderful service.

I love the way...

I love the way you handle pedestrians that come to your library with questions. You answer everytime with a smile.

Keep it up.

Rave reviews for your booklists

I was so blessed to find your brochure listing Adoption Stories. I used it to locate approximately 8 children's stories on adoption last week. Each day I read a story to my 6 kids (3 biological, 3 adopted) as we wait to have our 4th adopted child join our family. They have been terrific! Thank you for taking the time to research great books.

Thank you, thank you for the Rosetta Stone database

Hello there:

You currently have Rosetta Stone [online] Language Courses available through December 6, 2006. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!. We will use this everyday as we homeschool. Please do renew this next year. We very much appreciate it as a resource and today I recommended it to all my homeschooling friends.

Penny Armbruster - Mt. Lebanon, PA

** Please note that the Rosetta Stone Online Language Learning Center comes up for renewal on December 31, 2006. Due to demand, it will be renewed. Also please keep in mind that, due to licensing restrictions, we can no longer issue Mt. Lebanon Public Library cards to anyone who resides outside of the municipality. **

Quick response to my request and personalized service

Friends:

Recently, I suggested to a number of public libraries in the area that they purchaase Sergei Rachmaninoff's "His Complete Recordings". The only library that responded was Mount Lebanon, and you did so quickly, advising that you would purchase the CD set.

You kindly notified me when this item had come in, and held it for me at the front desk. I borrowed the set and wanted you to know how thoroughly I have enjoyed it, and how grateful I am to you for your action and the fine, personalized service you provided to me in enabling me to enjoy this item.

At a depressing time when the Academy Awards honors a recording titled, "It's Hard Out Here for a Pimp", it is a great comfort to be able to enjoy outstanding classical music from one of the greatest pianists that ever lived.

I have written a number of letters to the editor advocating more funding for libraries, pointing out the twisted priority of providing reliable funding for sports while libraries must beg for their dwindling piece of the pie each year. I shall continue to avocate for wonderful organizations which enrich our culture, like the Mount Lebanon Public Library.

Thank you, thank you!

I would travel a 1000 miles to go your library

I came into the library with my daughter on Sunday to work on another school project with her. It seems like we often use your library for this purpose. We have used the library since we were residents of Mt. Lebanon.

We continue to use the library now that we are residents of Rostraver Township and are 45 minutes away from the library. This is because the libraries in the Mon Valley, where we live, are just awful. I really would like to bring a group from our area up to your library to show them just what a library really can be. Recently, my son and some of his classmates used your library exclusively to prepare an entry for the Rube Goldberg competition, which the Bell Vernon School District (his class) won!!!

I have been appalled recently by a referendum on the ballot of our local community for $25 from each household to be used toward a new library that was defeated!!

We plan to use your library for it's many great programs and all of our information needs, and we'll continue to support your wonderful library and use it exclusively. It's the best 45 minute commute we can make.

Do the "locals" realize what a gift they have in this library !!

Great Job posting community opportunities - 5/8/2006

I think the library has done a great job about posting community opportunities, however a couple of the activities offered are in the morning, which stops more people from coming to them, as they may have school or work to attend.
